Il Network Italiano Salute Globale è una rete di 11 organizzazioni della società civile impegnate nella lotta alle tre pandemie [Aids, Tbc, Malaria] e per il diritto alla salute globale.
La rete nasce nel 2002 come Osservatorio Aids con lo scopo di creare un servizio di confronto, informazione, analisi e monitoraggio in rete per gli interventi di lotta contro l’Aids in particolare, soprattutto nei Paesi con maggiori difficoltà di accesso alle strutture sanitarie, creando un canale comune per l’azione promossa dalle organizzazioni della società civile su temi relativi ai diritti umani e alle politiche sanitarie. Nel corso degli anni e con il lavoro sul campo si è voluto evidenziare il nesso fra accesso alla salute globale e lotta alle tre epidemie di Aids –Tbc – Malaria: per questo il Network Italiano Salute Globale mira a contribuire alla realizzazione dei nuovi obiettivi dell’Agenda 2030 per lo sviluppo sostenibile, con particolare attenzione ai temi connessi al diritto alla salute.
The Global Health Italian Network is a network of 11 civil society organizations committed to fighting Aids and promoting the right to health.
The Network was created in 2002 because of our conviction that Aids represents one of the most serious hurdles in the development of populations and with the aim to provide services for comparison, information, analysis and monitoring of interventions to fight Aids, especially in countries with greater difficulty in accessing health care, by creating a common channel for the action promoted by civil society organizations with regard to human rights and health policies.
Through our work in the field over the years it has become strikingly clear that there is a connection between access to global health and the fight against the three major epidemics – Aids, Tb, Malaria. Therefore, the Network aims to contribute to the implementation of the 2030 Agenda, particularly with regard to the Sustainable Development Goal 3 on the right to health.
La diversità degli ambiti di intervento e delle tipologie di approccio delle organizzazioni che fanno parte del Network permette di avere un quadro completo di azioni da realizzare per garantire il diritto alla salute.
Il Network svolge le seguenti attività sul tema del diritto alla salute globale:
– advocacy per sensibilizzare chi detiene il potere decisionale, nonché i mezzi di informazione;
– informazione, formazione e sensibilizzazione anche attraverso l’organizzazione di eventi, manifestazioni, convegni e campagne;
– raccolta, analisi e diffusione di dati specifici;
– promozione di buone pratiche per sconfiggere le epidemie e sostenere i sistemi sanitari nei paesi del Sud del mondo.
The variety of the areas of intervention and of approaches of the organizations which are part of the Network allows a complete picture of the actions to be implemented to ensure the right to health.
The Network carries out the following activities regarding the fight against Aids and the right to health:
– advocacy to raise awareness among decision-makers as well as the media;
– information, training and awareness-raising activities also through the organization of events, exhibitions, conferences and campaigns;
– gathering, analysis and dissemination of data and information;
– promoting good practices to fight against epidemics and to support the health systems in countries of the Global South.
Il Network
– ha stabilito negli anni un rapporto di consultazione e collaborazione con le istituzioni, fra cui la Direzione Generale per la Cooperazione allo Sviluppo del Ministero degli Affari Esteri e della Cooperazione Internazionale, l’Aics – Agenzia Italiana Cooperazione allo Sviluppo, il Fondo Globale
– partecipa alle attività di reti nazionali e internazionali (Gcap – Coalizione italiana contro la povertà; Gfan – Global Fund Advocates Network; G7 Civil Society Global Taskforce, Campagna ZeroZeroCinque)
The Network
- has established over the years relations with institutions to provide consultation and collaboration. They include the Directorate General for Development Cooperation of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation and the Global Fund
participates in the activities of national and international networks (Gcap – the Italian Coalition Against Poverty; Gfan – the Global Fund Advocates Network; G7 Civil Society Global Taskforce, ZeroZeroFive Campaign)
Le organizzazioni aderenti al Network si riuniscono in assemblea almeno una volta l’anno per definire programmazioni e verificare le attività svolte. Ogni due anni si nomina il Comitato di Gestione.
Il Comitato di Gestione provvede al governo ordinario e al monitoraggio delle attività del Network.
Un/una focal point gestisce giornalmente le attività del Network.
The Network’s member organizations meet in general assembly at least once a year to plan and check the effectiveness of the activities carried out. The Steering Committee is appointed every two years.
The Steering Committee deals with the routine management and monitoring of the Network’s activities.
A focal point manages the Network’s daily activities.
